Luce Chiropractic & Sports Care is excited to announce that we’re Official Sponsor of 2016 Ironman!!
Most people have not heard about ART®, however it is used widely throughout professional sports. Nearly all NFL, NHL, and NBA teams have an ART® provider for their players. Many Olympic medalists and MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) competitors have also used ART® to enhance their performance, as well as decrease pain from previous injuries and over-training. In fact, ART® is the Official Ironman Soft Tissue Massage partner. If it works for the people who put their bodies to the test everyday, it will most likely work for you.
Active Release Technique (ART) is a patented, state of the art soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly and permanently with Active Release Technique. These conditions all have one important thing in common: they are often a result of overused muscles.
Dr. Luce Qualifications
Dr. Jacob Luce is one of the few physcians in Utah that is a Certified Active Release Techniques Provider and is part of the prestigious Iroman Provider Network. Dr. Luce is also an official sponsor of the 2015 Ironman series.
What is an ART treatment like?
Every Active Release Technique session is actually a combination of examination and treatment. The ART provider uses his or her hands to evaluate the texture, tightness and movement of muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves. Abnormal tissues are treated by combining precisely directed tension with very specific patient movements.
